Vidya Sudha in association with Karthikeyan Child Development Unit(KCDU) and its constituent departments observed World Down Syndrome Day on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 at Vidya Sudha building. We invited twenty Alumni students of Vidya Sudha, particularly Young Adults with Down Syndrome. To mark the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, we conducted painting, art, coloring, singing and dance competitions for all Alumni students with Down Syndrome.

Besides, a panel discussion was organized for all Vidya Sudha parents. Dr. N.Udaya Kumar, Professor & Head, KCDU, Dr. A. Arun Aloysius Magesh, Senior Administrator & Head, Vidya Sudha, Dr. Rajeshwari, Associate Professor , SRFPT, Dr. Mohana, Asst. Professor, SRFOT and Mrs. Ashwathy, Tutor, SRFASLP and Ms. Benita Vincy George, Clinical Psychologist , Vidya Sudha were panelists in the discussion. Our senior parents of young adults with down syndrome and junior parents clarified their doubts from the professionals. Prizes were distributed to all the participants.
