Annual Sports Meet 2026

Annual Sports Meet 2026 Vidya Sudha, Sri Ramachandra Learning Centre for Children with Special Needs, will host its Annual Sports Meet, Thrive 2026, on 31st March 2026. The event aims to provide a platform for children with disabilities to showcase their abilities, build confidence, and promote inclusivity and overall well-being. Around 100 children, along with their families, will participate. The event will be graced by Tmt. S. Madumathi, IAS, Secretary to Government, Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Mr. S. Santhanam, Actor & Film Producer, as Chief Guests. Thiru. K. Prabhakaran, General Secretary & Area Director, Special Olympics Bharat – Tamil Nadu, along with Thiru. V.R. Venkataachalam, Hon’ble Chancellor, SRIHER (DU), and Thiru. R.V. Sengutuvan, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, SRIHER (DU), will be present as Special Invitees.

Vidya Sudha in association with Karthikeyan Child Development Unit(KCDU) and its constituent departments observed World Down Syndrome Day on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 at Vidya Sudha building. We invited twenty Alumni students of Vidya Sudha, particularly Young Adults with Down Syndrome. To mark the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, we conducted painting, art, coloring, singing and dance competitions for all Alumni students with Down Syndrome. Besides, a panel discussion was organized for all Vidya Sudha parents. Dr. N.Udaya Kumar, Professor & Head, KCDU, Dr. A. Arun Aloysius Magesh, Senior Administrator & Head, Vidya Sudha, Dr. Rajeshwari, Associate Professor , SRFPT, Dr. Mohana, Asst. Professor, SRFOT and Mrs. Ashwathy, Tutor, SRFASLP and Ms. Benita Vincy George, Clinical Psychologist , Vidya Sudha were panelists in the discussion. Our senior parents of young adults with down syndrome and junior parents clarified their doubts from the professionals. Prizes were distributed to all the participants.         

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) successfully organised a Children’s Day Celebration on 13th November 2025 at the Dental College Auditorium. The event was jointly conducted by the Departments of Paediatrics, Paediatric Nursing, Clinical Nutrition, and Patients’ Guest Relation. Students from Vidya Sudha, Sathyalok School, and MGR School actively participated in the programme, held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The celebration provided an inclusive and engaging platform for children to participate in various activities, promoting interaction, creativity, and well-being. Children's Day - 2025
