Structure & Background

Vidya Sudha functions under Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust and is a registered Early Intervention Institution for children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. It is recognised by the Office of the State Commissioner for the Welfare of Differently Abled, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The centre is designed as a comprehensive early intervention facility catering to children below the age of eight years who present with a wide range of developmental conditions including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autism, attention deficit disorders, multiple disabilities, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and other cognitive challenges.

Vidya Sudha adopts a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together professionals from special education, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and related fields to provide coordinated and individualised care. The infrastructure includes well equipped classrooms, therapy spaces, and child friendly environments that support both structured learning and therapeutic intervention.

The programme places strong emphasis on early identification and timely intervention, with a focus on holistic development through stimulation, skill building, and family involvement. Family-Centred Intervention

Family-Centred
Intervention Programme

The Family-Centred Intervention Programme is a uniquely designed day care initiative that places families at the centre of the child's learning and development. Parents are actively involved in the planning and care process, with one parent encouraged to participate in sessions alongside the child. This collaborative approach equips families with practical strategies to support their child's progress, ensuring that learning continues consistently at home as well as on campus.

Individualized Educational Plan

Individualized Educational
Plan (IEP)

At Vidya Sudha, every child is recognised as unique, with distinct strengths, abilities, and learning needs. An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is developed for each child to provide structured, goal-oriented support tailored to their developmental profile. A low student-teacher ratio of 1:8 enables close attention, personalised guidance, and a nurturing environment where each child is supported to grow with confidence and achieve their full potential.
