Vidya Sudha, the Sri Ramachandra Learning Centre for Children with Special Needs, was established on 15 December 2004 as part of the Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust’s commitment to social responsibility and inclusive care.

With a vision to support children with special needs and strengthen their families, the centre has positively impacted many lives over the years.

Through a strong focus on inclusion and holistic development, the centre continues to work towards improving each child’s learning, independence, and quality of life in a caring and supportive environment.

Vidya Sudha is a registered Early Intervention Institution for children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, recognized under Section 52(2) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (formerly registered under Section 52 of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) by the Office of the State Commissioner for the Welfare of the Differently Abled, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Our centre is designed to provide early intervention services for children below the age of eight years. We support children with a wide range of developmental needs, including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), multiple disabilities, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and other cognitive challenges.

The focus is on nurturing each child’s abilities through a holistic and supportive approach that combines guided activities with personalised attention. The aim is to help children build essential life skills, become more independent, and actively participate in their families and communities.

Programmes

Upon referral to the centre, each child and their family are received by the Administrator, who conducts an initial interaction to understand the child’s developmental needs as well as the expectations and concerns of the parents. This process ensures that appropriate support and programme pathways are identified from the very beginning.

Our Services

The Early Intervention programme offers a comprehensive and holistic approach to supporting children with special needs. A dedicated team of professionals from various disciplines works collaboratively to design and deliver comprehensive support that nurtures each child’s overall growth and development. Through a combination of individualised attention and structured group sessions, the programme focuses on building essential skills, promoting independence, and helping every child reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
